OUTLINE

IRUYO is the world’s first in-car babysitting robot. It soothes babies with movements like peek-a-boo or clapping in response to the driver’s voice or music. In Japan, safety guidelines require babies under 15 months to be in rear-facing backseat car seats. When babies fuss, driving parents cannot easily respond, making 80% of parents feel anxious when driving alone with their child—an anxiety that can lead to accidents. Nissan developed IRUYO to provide safety and peace of mind for both parent and baby.
