The “Smart Eye Camera” (SEC) is a portable attachment for iPhones, developed by OUI Inc., a medical startup originating from the Keio University School of Medicine, Tokyo. Despite its compact size, SEC provides diagnostic capabilities equivalent to traditional, bulky slit-lamp microscopes. Its low cost and extreme portability make it a game-changer for regions with limited access to specialist ophthalmic equipment.
