TBWA\HAKUHODO Secures Two Golds and One Silver at the Clio Health Awards 2026

16 June 2026

TBWA\HAKUHODO is proud to announce that its creative works have won a total of three awards—two Gold and one Silver— at the Clio Health Awards 2026, an international awards program celebrating excellence and creativity in health, wellness, and medicine.

An extension of the renowned Clio Awards—widely recognized as one of the “Big Three” global advertising accolades alongside Cannes Lions and The One Show—the Clio Health Awards serves as the world’s premier platform recognizing pioneering achievements, breakthroughs, and unparalleled creativity across the medical, pharmaceutical, and wellness industries.

“Smart Eye Camera” (OUI Inc.), which won two Gold trophies in both the Innovation and Design mediums, is an attachment-type ophthalmic medical device designed for smartphones, developed by OUI Inc., a medical venture originating from the Keio University School of Medicine, Tokyo. While delivering diagnostic performance equivalent to conventional slit-lamp microscopes, the device achieves outstanding cost-efficiency and portability, expanding access to crucial eye care in remote and medically underserved regions globally. Deeply in alignment with OUI Inc.’s mission to “reduce blindness in the world by 50%,” TBWA\HAKUHODO continues to comprehensively champion the device’s global adoption through the power of creative strategy and design innovation.

“CHEER SIGNS,” which took home a Silver trophy in the Health Equity medium, introduces a revolutionary, entirely visual cheering style specifically created for deaf athletes. Launched in alignment with the monumental 100th anniversary of the Deaflympics, CHEER SIGNS was built through a close co-creation process between the Tokyo Metropolitan Government, 5005 inc., the Japan Broadcasting Corporation (NHK) Group alongside deaf athletes and individuals from the deaf community. The project was recognized for challenging the conventional auditory norms of cheering—such as applause and shouting—and empowering anyone to visually and dynamically convey their support to deaf athletes.

Following major recognitions at Spikes Asia, ADFEST, the main Clio Awards, NY ADC, The One Show, and most recently D&AD,  TBWA\HAKUHODO continues their winning streak at the Clio Health Awards 2026. This continuous global acclaim serves as definitive proof of TBWA\HAKUHODO’s creative prowess and ability to cultivate meaningful social impact. The agency continues to prove its worth as the vanguard of the industry, setting new standards that others aspire to.
