NISSAN – INTELLIGENT PUPPET IRUYO

OUTLINE

IRUYO is the world’s first in-car babysitting robot.

It soothes your baby with a variety of movements such as playing peek-a-boo, in response to the driver’s voice prompts or clapping along to songs.

In Japan, official safety guidelines state that babies under 15 months old must be placed in rear-facing car seats placed in the back seat.

When baby becomes fussy, parents are unable to respond, as they must focus on driving.

According to surveys, 80% of parents say they feel anxious about their baby when driving alone with them.

That anxiety can sometimes lead to unfortunate accidents.

As part of their company mission to achieve zero road fatalities, Nissan has developed this innovative product that provides both safety and peace of mind for parent and baby.
