TBWA\HAKUHODO’s “No Smiles” Campaign Wins Grand Prix and Gold at 2025 Clio Music Awards

The Clio Awards are one of the world’s three major advertising awards, alongside The One Show and Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity. The Clio Music Awards specifically recognize excellence in the use of music to connect brands and consumers, encompassing artist self-promotion, music marketing, brand collaborations, and advertising’s utilization of music.

 

The award-winning “No Smiles” campaign offers a fresh perspective on McDonald’s “Smile 0 Yen” brand asset. It has resonated deeply with Generation Z, who aspire to be themselves even in the workplace, and has already garnered significant international acclaim, winning five awards including a Gold at the 2024 New York Festivals Advertising Awards, three awards including a Gold at Cannes Lions 2024, five awards including a Gold at MAD STARS 2024, Bronze at the APAC Effie Awards 2024, and Grand Prix at the London International Awards 2024.
