\u201cThe Restaurant of Mistaken Orders\u201d was awarded \u201cCitizen of the Year\u201d at the \u201cNIHON PR TAISHO (Japan PR Grand Prize) 2019\u201d Awards held by The Public Relations Society of Japan.<\/p>\n

Established in 1998, the NIHON PR TAISHO award is an annual event that gives recognition to the most active and engaging persons (\u201cPerson of the Year\u201d) and creative output that contributes to grassroots societal development (\u201cCitizen of the Year\u201d).<\/p>\n

TBWA\\HAKUHODO is deeply honored that the agency led project \u201cThe Restaurant of Mistaken Orders\u201d was recognized by The Public Relations Society of Japan as a gamechanger.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
The project has continued to garner accolades and attention since its inception, with the groundbreaking concept of giving dementia patients the opportunity to work as waiters and servers.<\/p>\n

The projects\u2019 aim is to help build a society where \u201cmistakes\u201d can be accepted, and even enjoyed. It aims to foster a generosity of spirit, and help build understanding around dementia. The project has since become a general incorporated association and continues to expand its activities in collaboration with various partners, and it continues to provide people with dementia an opportunity to work, contribute and be counted.<\/p>\n

This year\u2019s \u201cPerson of the Year\u201d went to Jamie Joseph, head coach of the Japan national Rugby team. With great leadership finesse, he led Japan to the Rugby World Cup 2019 quarterfinals for the first time in the teams history.<\/p>\n
